UK Bottling and Carbon Footprint

Sustainability is a core obligation and part of the founding ethos of both Earth Friendly Products and Natural Eco Trading.

Earth Friendly Products continuously aims to reduce the environmental impact of its operations and products throughout the life cycle; from design, procurement, production, distribution, product use through end-of-life, thus optimizing use of natural resources.

The Earth Friendly Products range that is sold in the UK is bottled from bulk at our warehouse in Kent, England. Our ambition is to manufacture in the UK. With your support we will achieve this shortly.

The bulk Earth Friendly Products that we use is all made on the US East coast in New Jersey in factories powered by solar power. Earth Friendly recycled water and packaging materials.Packaging and labels used in the Europe are sourced in the UK.Earth Friendly source all raw materials as locally as possible.Remember that even UK producers of green cleaners must import  ingredients as many of the plant ingredients needed to make green cleaning products are not grown in our climate e.g. Oranges, Lemons, Olives, Coconuts, Soya. We simply import the bulk mixed ingredients. 
We only import by sea in full 40ft containers which is far more efficient than road and air. 
We will never air freight.
We work from home. US employees are encouraged to cycle to work. Earth Friendly Products range is far more concentrated than competitors and this lowers the carbon footprint per dose- using less water, packaging, plastic bottles and transport miles.  
ECOS Laundry Liquid was the first ‘small and mighty ‘ product some 15 years ago- 3 times more concentrated than green competitors meaning lower transport CO₂ emissions per wash
Taking into account product concentration, Earth Friendly laundry liquid uses less transport CO₂ per wash than importing normal concentration laundry liquid from mainland Europe by road.
